VTNet

VTnet is a software package written at Virginia Tech and distributed on CD-ROM that should be obtained and run on your computer before plugging into the network. VTnet CD automatically runs and performs the following functions for you:


OS Updates

In order to keep your Windows or Macintosh Wireless computer system secure you MUST perform regular updates to your operating system. This will ensure your computer has the latest service packs and critical security patches to protect your computer and keep it running smoothly. Windows Update can be found at http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com or may be accessed from the Start Menu on your computer. Accessing System Preferences on your Macintosh computer and then selecting Software Update can update Mac hardware and install security patches. Information for the Mac updates can also be found at www.apple.com.
