Software Skills Training
Virginia Tech's Software Skills Gateway provides hundreds of online software tutorials, covering a wide array of topics. The courses are free to Virginia Tech
faculty, staff, and students. Using your Virginia Tech PID and password, you may log into these tutorials and explore as many topics as you like. Titles cover
software applications for Macintosh and Windows in office productivity, web development, and other software in depth. Courses are also available for technical
subjects such as programming languages, system administration, and networking.
The mini-courses cover a wide range of topics that will allow you to:
- obtain remedial help with applications that you should know;
- attend a class at a convenient time to learn these skills;
- get up to speed with specific packages as part of your class assignments;
- learn new packages to upgrade your skills and increase your job possibilities;
- learn more about computer applications that you will need to know for future job skills;
- receive certification on a wide range of computer applications;
- receive training on-demand 24 x 7.
